safestove products save lives
SafeStove products from First Home Safety Corp. were invented because today the leading cause of home fires and related injuries is the cooking fire where 2 out of 3 fires start with the kitchen stove.
The American Red Cross found that every 79 seconds a home fire is reported and someone dies from a home fire every 135 minutes. That's 3,894 people who died from the results of a home fire last year in the USA alone. Kitchen fires are preventable with the smoke detector SafeStove from First Home Safety Corp.
Fire statistics show that on average, cooking equipment is as dangerous as the next two dangerous ignition sources in the home combined, and is significantly more dangerous than fires caused by cigarette smoking, which used to be the number one source of residential fires. Because of its unique design and concept SafeStove smoke alarm from First Home Safety Corp. protects you and your loved ones from fires started by kitchen stoves.
The vast majority of fire-related injuries are the direct result of cooking equipment which is the second greatest cause of home fire-related fatalities in North America. There are 117,000 recorded cooking fires every year, and an independent study suggests that there are as many as 12.3 million cooking fires in the U.S. every year that remain undeclared.
The National Fire Data Center reports that 90% of all kitchen fires are caused by cooking, as well as 36% of all structural fires. The most at risk of fire-related injuries and death include children under 4 years old and adults over 65 years old. But with our hectic lives, EVERYBODY is really at risk.
Have you not forgotten a pot cooking on the stove once? Or left a burner on after removing a pot? Or turned on an element inadvertently? Everybody can be an unfortunate statistic. But there's a way to remedy that forever, it's with a SafeStove product from First Home Safety Corp. that secures your kitchen stove from these mishaps.
The SafeStove System from First Home Safety Corp. automatically turns off the electric current to the cooking elements of the stove and the oven when smoke is detected while cooking.
When your kitchen stove is connected with the SafeStove System, the stove elements and the oven are always OFF to save energy and prevent fires from unattended cooking. The stove's clock and timers always stays ON for your convenience. Cooking starts only when you activate the SafeStove Wireless Remote Switch.
The SafeStove design and concepts are unique and work in two ways:
- SafeStove senses for smoke using a conventional ionization- based smoke detection system. When cooking, if the SafeStove Smoke Detector detects smoke from the kitchen, it shuts the stove OFF and sounds an alarm to alert occupants of the smoke and the imminent fire danger.
- SafeStove runs an internal timer, controlled by a wireless remote switch that turns the stove ON for either 15 minutes of use, if not reset, or 12 hours for longer cooking times. Electric power to the kitchen stove and oven is always OFF until activated with the SafeStove Wireless Remote Switch. The stove power is always fully controlled by the SafeStove Smoke Detector.
Even when the stove is OFF, the clock and timers are always ON and available for use and to display the time of day.
This SafeStove System from First Home Safety Corp. incorporates a totally new concept that protects people and property from kitchen stove fires and damages in a better way than conventional smoke alarms:
- The SafeStove Smoke Detector always controls power to the kitchen electric stove. The stove elements and the oven are always OFF unless activated by the SafeStove Wireless Remote Switch. Clocks and other gadgets on the stove stay ON at all times for your convenience.
- Only the SafeStove Wireless Remote Switch turns the stove's power ON to start cooking. Select with the buttons on the remote switch the cooking times, either 15 minutes or 12 hours, and cancel cooking by pressing the OFF button.
- When smoke is detected by the SafeStove Smoke Detector, the device sounds a powerful alarm to alert occupants of an imminent fire danger. And, if the stove is ON, the SafeStove Smoke Detector turns the stove power OFF removing at the source fire ignition and heat.
Your SafeStove unit from First Home Safety Corp. comes with three easy-to-install pieces.
This new model of the SafeStove System from First Home Safety Corp. plugs directly into the existing stove's standard 220V 30-amp 4-prong receptable while the stove's cord connects to the main SafeStove unit outlet. This unit is hidden securely behind the stove, out of sight.

Then, the SafeStove smoke detector from First Home Safety Corp. is installed on the kitchen ceiling or better yet on the wall at about 6 to 12 inches from the ceiling, with two screws or any other way to secure the detector in place. The housing of the detector slides on one side smoothly to access easily the battery for its replacement. Note: The SafeStove smoke detector is shipped without a 9V battery.
Finally, the SafeStove remote switch from First Home Safety Corp. has three buttons to control your kitchen stove: the 15 minutes, the 12 hours and the OFF buttons. The internal battery has been tested in the lab to last more than five years without replacement.
Fire officials report that 2 out of 3 homes do not have a working smoke detector and that fire damages could be avoided by replacing the detector's battery every year.
With the SafeStove System from First Home Safety Corp. connected to your stove, you'll know when you need to replace the battery of your SafeStove Smoke Destector because without it, you will not be able to turn the stove ON for cooking.
It's all about safety and saving lives, your life and the lives of your family!
